I'm going to Kansas City this weekend, for a much needed break from my suburbia. It'll be short, less than 3 days, but I'm a making a point to visit my two favorite restaurants, am going to a church service at where I used to work, and a concert put on by the group I used to sing with.

At this very moment, my dishwasher is running, and it is downright funky. I have never smelled anything like this in the year and a half I've owned this exceptional piece of machinery. Seriously, I'm wondering if there's a little colony of mushrooms sprouting up that I have neglected to notice. Who knows? All I know, it will be one big adventure when I finally open it to take out the clean(?) dishes.

The oil change place. Ahh, one of my favorite places to visit, and I know yours too. I made it a special point to wake up at 6:30 (Six frickin thirty people) so I could arrive early enough to get the discount. Well, I did get some discount, but along with a transmission fluid change and new antifreeze, ran me $191. Well, shit.

I need new tires, too. Shit again.

Another plan on the agenda for this afternoon is to return a dress I bought with good intentions, but just does not flatter the girls. I'll admit, this dress is not my usual style, but I thought I could pull it off. Not so. Having been blessed (cursed) with a rather large chest, whenever I walk around in this dress, I get the feeling I'm one step away from knocking myself out, or, even worse, the person standing next to me. Back to Dillard's it goes.

One of my friends is in the hospital after a car accident. Please think good thoughts for her, as I will be doing myself.

GOOD GOD a Christine post!
Have a great time in Kansas City. I'm jeal. Because I miss KC something awful right now.

I'm thinking good thoughts for your friend, too! And don't let the girls knock you out. That would be embarrassing.

One of my favorite restaurants is Osteria Il Centro, so I will have a glass of wine for you there. Or something. :)
I will also try my hardest to avoid being knocked out.

Even though it's expensive transmission fluid change is important, especially if you have an automatic.

Nice to see you posting again.
